Residenssi sijaitsee 50-luvulla alun perin lauttureiden perheasunnoiksi rakennetussa pienkerrostalossa meren äärellä, lauttarannassa. Bussi kulkee vierestä (seutu+), yhteysalus Ms. Utö ulkosaaristoon mm. Jurmoon ja Utöön lähtee vastarannalta. Metsä ja rauhallinen kallioranta vieressä. Kirkonkylälle ja kauppaan matkaa on 9 kilometriä. Polkupyöriä, kypäriä sekä auto osan aikaa vuodesta käytössä, mahdollisuuksien mukaan. AARK ry ylläpitää kokonaista pienkerrostaloa (6 huoneistoa, pihastudio, terassi):

• 2 x Rannanpuoleiset isot 3h+k (72m2) joissa molemmissa on 2 makuuhuonetta sekä oleskelu/työskentelytila. Kaikista ikkunoista on merinäköala ja laivareitti. Alakerrassa rannanpuoleinen terassi. Makuuhuoneita on yht. 4, joka mahdollistaa myös työryhmälle hyvät olosuhteet.
• 4 isoa kaksiota jossa avoin pohjaratkaisu ns. Single Studio Space 56m2. 3krs, ikkunat meri/metsänäkymä.
• Talossa on puulämmitteinen sauna ja kallioranta vieressä.
• Myös taiteilijaperheet ja työryhmät voivat hakea.
• Tilat toimivat työ- ja asuintilana. Erillinen työhuone pihalla kaikkien käytössä.

AARK on voittoa tavoittelematon taiteilijavetoinen yhdistys. Residenssin on perustanut korppoolainen pariskunta – taiteilija Renja Leino ja hänen miehensä Bengt Andersson.

The residency is located by the sea in a small apartment building, originally built in the late 1950s as family housing for ferry staff families. The bus runs nearby, and the ferry Ms. Utö to the outer archipelago, including Jurmo and Utö, departs from the opposite shore. The forest and a peaceful rocky shore are nearby. The distance to the village and the store is 9 kilometers. Bicycles, helmets, and a car are available for use during part of the year, if possible. AARK ry maintains an entire small apartment building to maintain a focused working environment (6 apartments, courtyard studio, terrace):

• 2 x large 3-room apartments (72m2) on the beach side, both with 2 bedrooms and a living/working area. All windows have a sea view and a view of the shipping route. Downstairs there is a terrace on the beach side. There are 4 bedrooms in total, which also provides good conditions for a work group.
• 4 large two-room apartments with an open floor plan, so-called Single Studio Space 56m2. 3 floors, windows with sea/forest views.
• The house has a wood-fired sauna and a rocky shore nearby.
• Artist families and working groups are also welcome to apply.
• The space both for working and living. Separate working space on the yard for everyone to share.

AARK is a non-profit, artist-run association. The residency was founded by a couple from Korppoo: artist Renja Leino and her husband Bengt Andersson.
